Today we had Cecil Burch on the show to give us his take on Resistance in training. It's important to face an opponent who doesn't want to see you win. Training on a static range against static targets has its place however you can never truly learn your limits until you see how you react in the real world. Towards the end Glen went over our encounter with the most wounded US veteran from OEF/OIF. It was an honor to witness him being given a custom AR15 made by the guys at Weapons For Warriors. Today we had Glen, John, Brian, and Matt in the studio. We discussed four separate topics each chosen by the guys. For Glen it was his views on diversity of training. Johns topic was Myths and Misconceptions in the training world. Brian's topic was unarmed personal defense and its importance in the civilian world. Finally Matts topic was the importance of physical fitness to self defense. We also learned just what the NFA Freedom Alliance does for the firearms industry and for gun owners specifically. Have a plan to accomplish whatever goal you choose to set for yourself. Progress doesn't have to be measured in leaps and bounds as long as you are improving then you have already made steps towards meeting your standard. He gave us a breakdown of some of the new systems that are coming out from Caracal in the next year or so as well as a brief overview of what he does for Team Caracal. We also touched on the recall issued by Caracal on their pistols imported into the US so far. On today's show we had guests John, and Sam (Glen's father) on the show to share their views on how military equipment has changed over the years. Sam shared some of his experiences from Vietnam about gear and standard load outs. John went over the evolution of military body armor from flak vests to IOTV's, and his personal experiences with it in Iraq and Afghanistan. We rapped up todays show by asking the guys what they think some of the greatest advancements are in military equipment. The best answer we heard was the adaptability of the American Soldier, Sailor, Airman, and Marines.
