SMM3G and Intro to Competition

              Today on another rousing episode of The Arms Room we had our friend Russell Phagan on the show to talk with us about a recent match him and The Arms Room crew shot called Superstition Mountain Mystery Three Gun at Ria Salado Sportsman Club in Mesa AZ. This match was Masons first expierence with a nationally ranked match so he shared his expierence at the match. Russell talked with us about some of the tips and tricks he has picked up over the years as a competition shooter. Lastly Glen, Russell and Mason talked about some of the equipment that was used at the match. Radio Communications Reloaded

              Today on The Arms Room we welcomed Ted back on the show to add more information about commo and to answer some of the many questions we recieved from listiners. At the start of the show we touched briefly on the great Tomahawk Missile Barrage into Syria that happened this past week. After that we dove right in to Commo and Ted gave us a little more in depth look at what it takes to get started in the emergency communication world. Ted also put out a list of the equipment you will need to get started such as the radio itself and some of the other accessories you might need. Overwatch Precision

              Today on The Arms Room Show we had Cris and the guys from Overwatch Precision on the show to talk with us about upgrading your handgun trigger. They talked about how they got involved in the firearms world and what led to them creating Overwatch Precision. If you want to learn what makes a good trigger then this is the show for you, these guys have forgotten more about triggers than The Arms Room personel will ever know. William Aprill

              Today on another rousing episode of The Arms Room we had William Aprill on from Aprill Risk Consulting on to talk with us about how to identify potential threats and what thoes threats are looking for in a victim. Mr. Aprill comes from an extensive background in criminal justice from both the enforcement side and the psychology side. He talked with us about the real purpose of carrying a firearms in your everyday life, that is to do violence unto thoes who wish you or your loved ones harm. He also talked with us about some of the things you can do to turn off potential predators such as scanning your enviroment without attempting to hide it. Gargoyle Eyewear

Charity Air Ambulance

              Today on The Arms Room we had the folks from Charity Air Ambulance on the show to talk with us about medical evacuation using fixed wing aircraft. If you find yourself traveling out of the states for work or pleasure be sure you know the medical situation in the location you are traveling to. Be aware that your insurance is going to give you a hard time anytime you try to get transport to a prefered facility. How to Raise Manly Children

              Today on The Arms Room the dads of the show shared their views on how to raise strong manly boys. Mason also chimed in with some insights from his childhood to help keep your kids from growing up to be typical millennials. At the end of the day the guys came to the concensus that being manly isnt really a definable thing but an ideal. Glen also shared his views on what has started the decline in manliness, to sum it up its the notion of gender equality. Radio Communications

              Today on The Arms Room we had our friend and student Ted on the show to talk with us about radio equipment and what goes into getting your permits. Ted talked with us about the types of radions out there and made some recommendation for people looking at getting into communication like the Baofang radio. He also talked with us about what is required to get your permit to transmit over the radio. Just look up the test questions online and take the short test, then pay your 15 dollars and you are on your way to transmitting over the radio. Low Round Count Shooting Drills

February 20th, 2017

              Today on another rousing episode of The Arms Room Glen and John shared with us some of the low round count shooting drills they do to keep up on their skills. One of Glen's favorites is the gun safe round up, where you take some of the guns from the safe that are rarely fired and time yourself to see how fast you can load and fire them. John prefers the first round shot while drawing from concealment. Mason's preffered low round count drill is our typical marksmanship qual, start with 25 rounds from the 100 yardline and sprint to varoius distances while changing positions and firing specific round counts from each position. What goes into a Bug Out bag???

              Today on The Arms Room we talked about the kinds of items that go into a good bug out bag. Glen also shared with us his views on lesbians that attend the Rennissance fair. Then we got straight into some of the essential items that should be included inyour bag, such as three methods of creating fire. Lighters wont always work so its important to have alternate methods. John talked about some of the different emergency foods that are out there like the freeze dried Mountain House. Todays show was finished off by briefly talking about some good bags and packs that are out there for bugging out.
