Ammunition Selection

              Today on The Arms Room we discussed ammunition brands and types and how to make the most of your selection. Ammunition brand can be the difference between spending a day at the range fixing malfunctions or learning valuable lessons. Glen shared some of his favorite match grade ammunitions such as Federal Premium and Prime. We discussed some of the ammunition we use for an average day at the range such as Wolf Gold and ASYM. The show ended with the realization that with few exceptions we all use Federal ammunition in both our long guns and handguns. Real World vs Competition Shooting

              Today on The Arms Room show we had one of our instructors, Josh on the show to talk with us about tactical vs Competition shooting and if skills from one translate into the other. Josh comes from a military background but was shooting competition before even joining the military. Josh firmly believes that competition shooting can make you a better real world shooter and vice versa. Shooting is what you make it so if you go into it with a certain expectation then you are more likley to get that type of outcome. Vehicle Maintenance

Today on The Arms Room we had our good friend Pat on the show to talk with us about vehicle maintenance. Pat has been a professional Mechanic for more than 20 years and has seen his fair share of mechanical problems. Pat talked with us about some common problems he sees when people bring their vehicles in to get looked at. He also talked with us about some of the basic things you as the operator can do to make your vehicle last longer. Changing the oil and testing your battery on a regular basis are just a few of the things that can ensure your car stays in good working order for as long as possible.

What to do When Bombs go Off

              Today on The Arms Room our very own John took the lead and talked with us about what to expect in an explosive attack both here in the US and overseas. John covered some concepts reguarding what you should do both before and after an attack as well as what to consider when attempting to spot a potential attack. There are a lot of things to consider when attempting to look for signs of an explosive terrorist attack but most importantly dont be afraid to inform Law Enforcement personnel. John also covered some of the typical injuries you will encounter post blast and what you can do to treat them. Prepared Medical Response

              Today on the Arms Room we had Kevin from Prepared Medical Response on the show to talk with us about some of the myths surrounding emergency medicine. Kevin was a Combat Medic in the army and an EMT in the civilian world so he has seen his fair share of emergency medicine in action. He shared some knowldge of snake bites and how to treat them, namley dont panic. Kevin also shattered the myth of the Sawyer extractor ie it is a sugar pill and does nothing for you. CapTac

              Today on The Arms Room we had Jermey and Delight from CapTac on the show to talk with us about owning a small business and maintaining strong familiy bonds. They talked with us about how they first got started and what motivated them to open a small business. They have a lot of children and one aspect of their business that Glen enjoys is involving the kids in it. A key to teaching kids the value of money is ensuring they work hard to earn it. Also any pink gear ordered on their site, 10% of the proceds are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
