On this show we talked with in studio guest Derek Vusocich, a local Police officer and competitive shooter about the lessons learned from competitive shooting and how be a better shooter.  

Today we had Cecil Burch on the show to give us his take on Resistance in training. It's important to face an opponent who doesn't want to see you win. Training on a static range against static targets has its place however you can never truly learn your limits until you see how you react in the real world. Cecil also talked with us about some of his experience in the martial arts world. Be sure to join us next show where we will be discussing the advantages of shooting in competition. 

  On today's show we discussed our top 10 coolest things we saw while at SHOT show. Before that we covered some of our top quotes from all over SHOT show. Towards the end Glen went over our encounter with the most wounded US veteran from OEF/OIF. It was an honor to witness him being given a custom AR15 made by the guys at Weapons For Warriors. Today we had Glen, John, Brian, and Matt in the studio. We discussed four separate topics each chosen by the guys. For Glen it was his views on diversity of training. Johns topic was Myths and Misconceptions in the training world. Brian's topic was unarmed personal defense and its importance in the civilian world. Finally Matts topic was the importance of physical fitness to self defense. Today we heard from Todd Rathner of the NFA Freedom Alliance. He enlightened us about the benefits of Eforms for filing form 1 and form 4 through the ATF. We also learned just what the NFA Freedom Alliance does for the firearms industry and for gun owners specifically. Todd is the go to guy for the NFAFA and any money donated is used to help him lobby for gun rights. Be sure to join us for next weeks mystery show for some fun and good times, maybe... 

 We discussed the historical New Years Resolution and how people tend to view them. It is important to set goals for yourself and not to create these unachievable objectives. Have a plan to accomplish whatever goal you choose to set for yourself. Progress doesn't have to be measured in leaps and bounds as long as you are improving then you have already made steps towards meeting your standard. Today we had Matt Kenney from Concerned Veterans of America to talk about what you can do to get involved in veteran affairs. He also talked about some criteria to look for when choosing a non-profit charity to donate to. We also touched briefly on the official end of combat operations in Afghanistan and what exactly that means to us. Today we talked about the importance of SECs both OP and PER. Why is it important not to put all your personal information out there for everyone to see? Because in today's world of social media it is so easy to find everything out you need to know about a person in order to cause them or loved ones harm. We discussed window stickers and why not to put them on your windows. On today's show we discussed the virtues and disadvantages of running Red Dots on your weapons systems. We also discussed the advantages of using variable power optics. We heard from the guys about what they prefer to run on their weapons and some of their experiences using said optics. On today's show we had a call in guest, Jeff Spalding from Caracal USA. He gave us a breakdown of some of the new systems that are coming out from Caracal in the next year or so as well as a brief overview of what he does for Team Caracal. We also touched on the recall issued by Caracal on their pistols imported into the US so far.
