Get A Medkit and Train with it!

              Happy New Year Arms Room listiners and welcome to 2017. Today on The Arms Room we talked about how New Years resolutions are BS and if you really want to make a change in your life then get off your butt and go do it. Our actual topic was getting out there this year and getting some medical training and a medkit. We discussed the 5 essential items that should be included in every tramua kit. Be sure you get your medical supplies from a reputable dealer like the Tactical Medic. Be sure to join us next show to hear us talk about, "I took a class so im a body slayer" and what kind of training you need to truly be confident in a self defense situation.

Carrying weapons and supplies in your Vehicle

              Today on The Arms Room we rounded out 2016 by talking about the use of weapons from the vehicle and what some of the neccassary supplies are that you should have in said vehicle. Some good options for carry while in a vehicle may seem taboo to some people but appendix carry and even cross draw are viable options. It is also important to keep in mind where you store your weapons if they are staying in the vehicle and what can happen to them in the event of an accident or wreck. Also keep in mind that just because you lock your car doors doesnt mean your weapon is secured, you may want to take a look at some type of vehicle weapon safe for storage. Gun Store Myths!!!

              Today on another exciting episode of The Arms Room we explored the world of gun store myths and made some people really sad. At the start of our show Mason shared his recent expierence shooting the Tuscon 2 Gun Action Match. Competition is a great way to hone your skills andhave some fun at the same time. Some of the highlights from todays episode include the myth that just pumping a shotgun will scare the bad guy away, women can only carry small guns and my personal favorite is taht all gun store salesmen that were in the military know everythig there is to know about firearms. We here at The Arms Room know that gun stores are a necessary part of our world but when possible we avoid them. Russell, The Man the Myth the Legend

              Today on The Arms Room we had Russell from KE Arms on to talk with us about the recent Multi-fun match Hard as Hell that him and Glen participated in a few weeks ago. Glen is a big advocate of getting out there and getting involved in shooting sports as a way to keep your skills up. There are too many people out there in the tactical community that trash talk competition shooting whithout actually getting out there and doing it. Don't be afraid to fail in public, shooting competition is a great way to test your skills and to keep existing skills sharp. Russell shared with us some great tips and tricks to competition shooting and how to get involved with it. Hexmag Reloaded

              Today on another exciting episode of The Arms Room we had the guys from Hexmag back on the show to talk with us about some exciting new products they've got coming out. Jake opened up the show by talking with us about what seperates the gen I from the gen II Hexmags. We also got to hear about their new rail covers that fit M-Lok, Keymod and Picatinny rails. Hexmag also has some new AR grips coming out in the near future so be sure to stay tuned for thoes. Tom on Being Hard to Kill

              Today on The Arms Room we had Tom from KE Arms on the show to talk with us about what it takes to be hard to kill. Tom is one squared away dude with years spent in Law Enforcement and as an Instructor and he shared some of his pillars of staying alive with us. Number one was situational awarness and how to see threats before they find you. Next Tom talked with us about how to analyze threats and build profiles on the people you see around you in the everyday world. Derek The Fuel Guy

                Today on The Arms Room we had my good friend Derek on the hsow to talk with us about some of the myths of fuel and explosions. He started off by dissapointing us with tales of cars not blowing up when they get shot and then started dropping some knowldge on us aboutfuel. The end of Die Hard 2 actually has a pretty legit fuel explosion seen due to the type of fuel used in airplanes at that time so check that out. Derek also explained to us the difference in fuels and octane levels and what the differences are. We finished off by learning some rules for the storage of fuel and its use after prolonged periods of storage. Be sure to join us next show to hear from Tom of KE Arms about how to be hard to kill.

Beware the ATF

                  Today on the Arms Room we had our good friend Shawn of The Tactical Medic on the show to share his experience with the ATF. Shawn was the owner of Cavelry Arms, a weapon manufacturer that specialized in plastics. Shawn was the victim of the attention of the ATF and as a result was screwed over by unlimited rescources of the government. Shawn gave his advice to anyone involved in the firearms industry and that is lawyer up when the ATF comes knocking. Be sure to join us next show to hear from Derek teh fuel guy about some myths and misconceptions about what sets fuel off and what makes it explode.

Less Lethal options

Today on The Arms Room we talked about Less Lethal options and how best to employ them. Glen shared some of his preferred less lethal tools such as pepper spray and his kubaton. John shared his opinion on pepper spray and its use, which was negative. I shared some of my personal experiences with less lethal shotgun rounds and their application in the military world. Lastly butnot least dont forget to go out and VOTE! People died for that right so weather it matters or not get out there and cast your vote!

Practical Tactics

Todays show was about some practical tactics that you should know for your everyday life. Glen shared a story from our time at the range this weekend about fully grown men not knowing how to jump their own vehicles. To get to the tactics part Glen mentioned some real situations you may find yourself in that require some tactical thinking such as what to do when someone is in your house and you need to find them. We also had a surprise guest call in as well from Just The Tip Of The Spear to share some of his thoughts on practical tactics and training. Our next show will sadly not be live but don't worry folks, it'll still be full of great content.
